Prism Microwave announces $2 million investment

Naples, Florida, June 2009. Prism Microwave, a rapidly growing supplier of RF conditioning products to the wireless industry, today announced that it secured $2 million in funding from external investors Peter Sulick, President and CEO of AmeriSite LLC, and Paul Allen, Chairman of Aston Associates. Previously, the company was self funded.

“Having investors with their depth of knowledge shows confidence in our technology and manufacturing procedures, as well as the direction the company” commented Prism’s CEO, Dr. David Chambers. Mr. Sulick and Mr. Allen have accepted the offer to join Prism’s Board of Directors, lending their expertise to the company's rate of growth and return.

About Peter Sulick

Peter Sulick is an entrepreneur with extensive background in building media and technology companies, executing their business strategy and building operations. Over the past 25 years he has founded four companies, including Independence Broadcasting Corporation, PowerFone Inc., SSPCS Corp. and AmeriSite, LLC. Independence Broadcasting owned and operated nine radio stations in five Midwest markets. Mr Sulick founded IBC in 1985 grew it to approximately $15.0 mil in revenue and 200 employees and liquidated the radio properties between 1995 and 1998. PowerFone, Inc, which Mr. Sulick and two partners founded in 1990, owned and operated specialized mobile radio operations across parts or all of seven states. PowerFone was sold in 1994 to Nextel Communications and became part of the Nextel nationwide network. Mr. Sulick and one partner founded SSPCS Corp in 1993 for purposes of bidding on and operating digital cellular licenses being auctioned by the FCC. SSPCS was successful in acquiring 14 licenses across five markets. In conjunction with VoiceStream Corp., SSPCS operated these licenses until 2002 when VoiceStream, along with SSPCS, was acquired by Deutsch Telecom and became part of the T-Mobile nationwide network. AmeriSite was started in 1998 for purposes of real estate investment and development activities in Naples, Florida and elsewhere.

About Paul Allen

Paul Allen is Founder and Chairman of Aston Associates. Prior to founding Aston Associates, Mr. Allen was one of the leading partners in the financial institutions practice of McKinsey & Co., working both in the New York and London offices. Mr. Allen has authored numerous publications including Reengineering the Bank (McGraw Hill, 1997). He earned his M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School, where he was a Harkness Fellow and Baker Scholar, and his M.A. in Law from Oxford University, England, where he was also a lecturer.
